Hi,
I was just wondering if you could read this ad & tell me how much you would pay for him or how much you would sell him for ?? I'm having trouble finding the right price to sell this horse for .. Thanks

Rising 6 year old appaloosa gelding 15.1 hands. Solid chestnut. By Musical Dream Catcher (appy) & Miss Bindy Eye (qh)
Bandit is sadly offered for sale. He is a beautiful looking horse, who is only offered for sale due to wasting away in the paddock because I recently dislocated my arm & am never going to get full strength back in that arm. He is green and can sometimes be temperamental and stubborn. He is great to tie, saddle & catch once he trusts you. He needs a bit of work with washing, worming, floating, and shoeing. He has amazing friendly nature and loves to be around you once he trusts you. He is not forward moving but responds nice to leg and voice, although at times he can be stubborn and temperamental. He has done trail riding, although in my opinion he could excel in any discipline with enough time and training. He shies in traffic. He does pigroot. He has a bit of a sway back but causes him no issues and is unnoticeable under saddle. He also has a scar on his off rear leg that he did as a yearling, also causes no issues. He is offered for experienced riders only who enough time to continue his training.

Sorry to say but be wouldn't go for much around me. Maybe a couple hundred if hes cute since hes registered. He's young but needs work in pretty much all areas, has some bad habits, a questionable attitude, a sway back, a scar which could turn out to be an injury that limits him and needs an experienced handler.

$500 at best, but probably no more than $300. He's swaybacked, has a bad attitude, and needs work. Not exactly the bargain of the century.

Didn't look too bad until I got to "temperamental and stubborn" (BTW you mention that twice). Then I read that he "pigroots" and had to google it. (BTW do NOT click on the "urban dictionary" definition for pigroot :lol.

Add swaybacked and a scar... I agree with the other posters, likely a couple hundred if you're lucky.

around here in KS, you wouldn't get more than a hundred IF your lucky.

I paid $800 for my broke broke broke paint mare, and last week $400 for a decently bred and broke, looker of a big BS paint mare, that needs a little work, but nothing like you describe.

Yeah, unfortantely he sounds like a meat price based horse. Perhaps you cohld get someone to put some riding on him?
I so suggest taking out the "tempermental and stubborn" part out twice.

I don't know much about the horse prices over in Vic but in WA, I would probably say around 800-1000. This would be only because he is a quarter horse cross instead of a tb or standie

Just kidding. I understand it is an Appaloosa, with Dream Catcher in his name he may have pretty good bloodlines. I really do not have any idea what the horse market in Australia is. In Germany, for example, he is probably about $1000 or even a bit more worth (due to higher meat market), in the US I doubt anybody would want to deal with him since there are so many cheap horses available and there will always be one that has one vice / conformation flaw less for a better price. Sold here you'd be lucky to find a home for him - but you couldn't expect more then slaughter price (would be between $250 and $300 for a well fed, healthy, younger horse).
