Hey guys, I was just wondering how I would go about washing my horses black brushing boots? I haven't had a look on the label yet, so i don't know what they are made of or anything... but they're just your average, standard, everyday brushing boots.

Is it okay to put them in the washing machine? If so, do I need to put them in a pillowcase or something? Or do I have to hand wash them?

They have velcro straps which double back on themselves through metal loops... if that makes any difference.

I will assume they are made of neoprene? I would hand wash them and hang dry them. I usually just use a brush to get most of the dirt off neoprene tack, but if its really dirty a good soak should help. Be sure to stick the Velcro together to avoid it pilling up the other fabric.

Yeah, I would nomally just brush the mud and dirt off them with a dandy brush, but they are really dirty at the moment. The sand in my stables' arena is orange, and it stains everything.
