BAH!

I broke my less than a year old, camera My Husband bought me a Kodak Easyshare Z712 is, and I LOVED IT!!!! It was an awesome camera. Took great action shots, I could do the Video option and while it was recording, I was able to zoom in and out clearly *my Sony Cybershot wouldn't do that, so I got rid of it* and I took this camera everywhere with me.

One day, I brought it to the barn to get pictures of my buddies and I riding and of Nelson, and my stupid *** left it hanging on my stall door *In its' carrying case of course*

I hung it up, and proceeded to untack Nelson and groom him and do our Carrot stretches, and by the time I put him away and my tack, I had forgotten all about my beloved camera. So I went home, and that was when I realized it was not with me. Too late to go back to the barn, I had to leave it there.

So the next day, I get back to the barn and saw it hanging there, and I was excited that it never got stollen - but when I took it out of its' case, my heart broke

The LCD Screen was cracked like a car windshield. What the hell!! :evil: I soon realized, it was smashed by the tractor that the barn help drives through the isle way, pulling the manure spreader.

WAH!! I got home, hoping my Husband could jimmy with it to get the camera to work, because it wouldn't even turn on at that point - and after he took it apart, it turns out the chips inside the camera, that lay just behind the LCD screen, were smashed along with the screen. The camera was hit with so much force.....kaplow.

*sigh* now I am looking for a new one. This sucks!

Oh, how I feel your pain, My sony cyber shot does not zoom while in play, and I hate it...but I did get a camera that did, I dropped it in the water trough, 10 sec rule does not apply with water and a 100 gallon tank.....bummed......so back to cyber shot......im sad toooo....maybe Santa will bring is a new one

My Husband took it all apart, and I keep having to look at its' guts and thinggy magiggy's everyday, while it lays there on the coffee table. lol.

I've been scowering Ebay, but they are all used, and Hubby doesn't trust ebay. He thinks that I'll win an auction, and the camera is sent to me "not in perfect condition" if you know what I mean.

AND everytime I finda Kodak Easyshare Z712 is at a super low price on ebay, by the time the auction is done, it has been racked up by stupid bidders to almost brand new prices.

I hope Santa is good to me this year *looks over at Hubby*

It is like loosing a "Friend" - this camera went with me everywhere. I loved it so much! I am so angry at myself, because I babied this camera so much, and to be stupid enough to forget it at the barn - GRRRR. My own stupid assed fault.

My canon ixus 70 is starting to act up, which is super annoying.
My next camera will be Canon T1i for sure though. I want it sooooo bad! xD haha...
I also broke my Canon ixus 60 by accident. It fell when my friends dog pulled me and I tried fixing it, but just made it worse. lol xD

ROUGH! I really feel sorry for you. That is indeed heartbreaking! I have never had something like this happen but I honestly could not imagine, I take such good care of my cameras. Protect them like my own kid.

Sorry to hear it hun. Maybe with the holidays coming up, would it be an option to get a new one?

Thanks My2Geldings *Hugs* - I defintaley can get a new one. Yesterday, Hubby and I spent the day in town shopping for a new camera, but every one we came across, in our price range - was crappy.

We even looked at the new Kodak EasyShare, and it was garbage In Our Opinion. Didn't take that great of action shots, and while recording a video, the zooming in and out was reallllllly choppy. *gag*

We went to camera shops, Best Buy, the HUGE Wamart and a few other places like Sears and such n such - but nothing was acceptable.

Then, the really nice camera's that you drool over - are way to expensive for our pocket books.

I am hooked on my Kodak EashShare Z712 is - so I hope to find another one just like it.

Hey there, sorry to hear about your camera :-( I can't imagine my camera breaking, it's a part of me! lol

I don't know what your price range is, but I find that Nikon makes extremely good cameras for fairly good prices. The problem with Kodak is that they are bits and pieces from different companies so parts are extremely hard, if not impossible, to find and replace.

that sucks ! maybe when you get your new camera you can get a warranty with it so if it gets broken you can get a new one for free !

Price range, cheap - LOL. Hubby was looking at camera's that were priced at $100.00 - $199.00.

This camera had a Warranty - but it was left in it's box. I had the reciept in the box as well, and all the CD software and chords that it came with. The problem is, when we moved from our last place to the place we are in now, the box happened to dissapear.

After Hubby and I searched high and low for it - in the basement and out in the garage for the box - no luck, couldn't find it. The box must of been thrown out during the move.

Bummer.

OH MY GOSH!!!

You would never believe what happened today! As you all know, my camera broke due to my absent minded tardness.

I had made a post about it on my Facebook page, not expecting anything out of it, cept some "awwws" and "dangs" and "sorry's" - so imagine my surprise, when I show up at the barn today for my riding lesson, when my Coach pulls out a camera for me to HAVE.

And, you'd never guess -

The camera she gave me, was the SAME EXACT camera I owned. The Kodak Easyshare Z712 is.

OH MY GOSH!

So I had to make her a browband to show her my appreciation.



You know, through all the fog in this world, it is a blessing to beable to see light being beamed through all that gray once in a while, through the loving actions of people.
