I cleaned Soda's sheath. It's needed to be done forever but I kept wussing out or letting random small excuses (don't know how, dogs ate the sheath cleaner, etc) get in the way. Finally gave myself a pep talk and did it today. I am no longer a sheath cleaning virgin.

Of course, now my boyfriend is completely disgusted with me and my friend (who came over to help) said she is no longer having sex with her hubby tonight.

Soda was a champ though even when I pulled out a HUGE bean. When I first started going for the bean he lifted his leg a couple times like "ouch, get out of there." But I just told him "easy, buddy" and kept going until if finally came out. Poor horse. On the one hand I'm proud that I finally just did it, but on the other I feel like a terrible horse owner for letting it go that long. :? Especially cuz it turned out to be so easy... gross, but easy.
