i havent been with horses since i was like 10 and even then i didnt do everything for them... how do i kno what type of bit and bridle do i get for my horse? he is a 3 year old tennessee walker/quarter horse. i am borrowing a saddle from a friend but i dont have a bit and bridle and i dont even know how to begin to decide on what type to get...​

My advice would be to seek out a coach/trainer to help you. Everyone needs help in the beginning, and maybe you could even set up some lessons.

Hopefully your instructer will advise you to use a snaffle, since you are a beginner you may rely on your hands for balance or clutch the horse's mouth or something, but I obviously don't know you and that would be for your trainer to decide

Was the horse broke when you got him? If so, try contacting the previous owner and ask what they used. :]

he was only a little broke if that makes any sence because they werent really sure what they were doing and the bit they have i dont think it fits well because the cheak bar goes in his mouth when opens it and in my opinion that isnt good... i just need to find a good fit for the both of us

I prefer the bit to sit at the corners of the mouth with barely one wrinkle in the corners.
I agree with everyone else that you need to get some help finishing your horse. If your new to riding the best bit is a snaffle. Its much easier on the horses mouth until you learn how to be soft with your hands and the horse is responding well.
A full cheek is a good one for training.
