Okay, I know I've asked for help with my homework before, but once again, I'm really am desperate for more help, this lab's due Monday and I have no idea how to start it out. If I can get it started I'll be good, but my professor's don't have office hours on Fridays and I am planning on going to the tutoring sessions set up for my math class in a big attempt to understand this. But for now could you at least try to help me get this started?

Introduction: Ernie Thayer hits a baseball and it travels for 433.1 feet before it lands. When he hits the ball, the ball is between about 2 feet and about 5 feet high. If we ignore air resistance, then physics tells us that the flight of the baseball can be modelled using a quadratic equation of the form:

y=ax^2+bx+c

where x is the horizontal distance that the ball has travelled, and y is the height of the ball at the given distance.

So that's the real life problem. I'm having trouble figuring out how to get the problem started. I have an equation that I think I can use:

h(t)=-16t^2+not+ho

Now the start of the homework is:

(a) The following questions deal witht he initial height of the ball:
i. With respect to the real life situation, what is happening when x=0?
