Standardbreds can Pace or Trot....or rack!

We have one that can, and will, do all three! Along with a canter!

Walk, slow rack, fast rack, pace, trot, AND canter!

And let's not even talk about his hell-for-leather all-out gallop!

Worlds record is 1.49 over a mile. My math skills suck, but I'm sure someone can put that in mph.
That is pulling a race bike not being ridden

If my math skills don't suck...a 1:49 mile is a bit over 33 mph

I have seen racking horses hit that number on a straight away...Best my boy did at a rack was very close to 25mph

And he was 16 at the time!
I was was way out of my comfort zone at the speed!
