He appears to have a myriad of white patters going on, but yes, I would guess sabino is one of them. Because so much of his face and legs are white it is tricky to know if his roaning is caused by sabino or classic roan. Do you know his parents colors? His blue eyes are likely caused by either frame or splash.

I don't know anything about his parents. I got him from a horse broker who got his horses from auctions and kill yards. He is gaited (some) and I was told by a Tennessee Walker breeder that Frankie is Walker.

If he is Tennessee walker he is most likely Sb1

^ Yep but that alone makes it a war bonnet. A medicine hat has a "shield" across it's chest.

I have never heard that a horse HAS to have the shield in order to be considered a medicine hat.. I had what was considered a medicine hat.. all white with only black on his flanks and the typical 'hat'

I may be confused/ reading your post wrong though..:lol:
