Hiya, im a new member! But when I'm riding my 5 yr old pony, I never know if she is poking her nose out or if it's on the vertical? How's can I see if it is in an outline when I'm on board? I know it's a silly questions but I never know:( thanks :D

Its hard to see for when you're on top eh? well first thing's first- being on the vertical is the last thing you need to be worried about. first focus on everything else (especially suppleness). Once you're there you will notice that the neck is round and the horse is supple and soft in your hands- this is a good indication he/she is on the bit. You will eventually just know if he/she is in frame by your limited vision from on top. If there are mirrors in your arena you can cheat and look in them ;) good luck

'Collection' comes from using their hind end correctly & moving in balance. 'Headset' is what comes out of that. So I second forgetting what the head's doing & work on suppleness, softness & getting her moving well.
