Has anyone used an anti-fungal moisturizer lotion called Equiderma Skin Lotion?

My horse has some bare areas on his face around his nose, cheeks, and behind his ears, and he seems itchy when I take the bridle off. He is always very clean around his face, and there are no scabs or other clues to go by. His former owner said he has very sensitive skin. I am wondering if he has winter dry skin itchiness, and if so whether there is a good lotion/moisturizer that would soothe the skin and promote hair re-growth. He is not overdue for worming and there are no bares spots anywhere else on his body.

Also wondering about trying something simple like aloe vera or mineral oil.

I have not tried the product you mentioned - there are literally thousands of anti-fungals on the market. My itchy, sensitive skinned horse has welted up to the handful of those that I've tried, so I stick with Healthy Haircare Moisturizer. If I apply it every 2-3 days, it will prevent him from rubbing raw spots on his head, neck, chest, and tail. As a bonus, it smells nice and leaves his hair shiny.

Even if you deworm regularly, it may be a good idea to get a fecal egg count at the vet. There is always a chance that the type of dewormer you've been using isn't the most appropriate for the type of worms your horse was exposed to.

If his head is itchy he's probably rubbing it. If your weather remains above 0*F you might consider clipping him where the bridle touches. They get warm and itchy with the winter woollies.

Is it possibly caused by something you clean your tack with that's irritating him when he gets hot?
Its quite normal for horses to get itchy in the winter when temperatures go up and down - or when they get warm from exercise and then cool down quickly
A simple barrier cream might work just as well

It might just be dry skin and any type of moisturizer would probably help.

Maybe rub a lite coat of Vaseline or baby oil on it.

I like Vaseline myself....
