I felt like you all probably "needed" more Lacey shots.

I got a rainbow umbrella for my birthday a few weeks ago and since Lacey is a little spooky about umbrellas, I thought I better have a little umbrella lesson with her! And of course, no umbrella lesson would be complete without pictures so I took care of that.

Yesterday she was so full of it. I think she went trotting/cantering around her field at least 4 times, like "Hey you guys!! I'm an old lady but I still got game, c'mon now!".

Anyway, without further ado, picture time!

She really is great. She's definitely sweet. Sometimes she's a jerk but she's always reliable, even while being a jerk. haha

We've finally started back in to giving lessons and by her behavior, I'm pretty sure she's missed having little girls dote on her. She's gotten so much happier in the last week or so since we started. It makes me so happy to see her thoroughly happy with her life.

Pintophile, I love her eyes/face too! Her face is so expressive and then her eyes just kind of draw you into them, more so than I've ever really seen on a horse, especially in the winter. When she has a really full winter coat (what I like to call her "albino wooly mammoth" look) her eyes are like little coals against her coat!

Tinyliny, that's so sweet! It's so great and funny to me that one horse could be loved by so many people, most of whom have never met her. It's so beautiful to me. Speaking of which, if you ever happen to be in the Gresham, OR/Portland, OR area, and want to come meet her, I'd love to make it happen!

Thanks csimkunas! Those ones are my favorite too. I still have a hard time thinking of her as being 26. Inside my mind she's like 12 or something. haha

That would be fun! I always extend the similar invite to anyone passing through Seattle/Bellevue, come and meet Mac and the 15 other horses he lives with.

One day, I think it would be so cool to take a car with good gas mileage and head out into the grea US of A and Canada, and visit as many HF regulars as I could reach. What a dream!
