My horse has never been unsound. He's a 11 year old Hollsteiner and He's always been sound to my knowledge. I've had him sense he was 6. Just last week he came up lame but only under saddle and going clockwise. Lunging and straight away you can hardly see it. I'm having Chiro out, I just got a new saddle though. Anyone think it's the saddle? Why would be only one side?

'Lunging & straight you can hardly see it'? So he IS lame all the time? Is he saddled at those times? If so, but he's fine unsaddled, there's your likely answer. Why only one side? The saddle could be imbalanced, or he could be uneven. Of course, could be anything else too. A chiro's a good option IMO for body issues, and they *should* have a good idea about saddle fit & comfort to advise on that too. Could be a hoof/leg issue too, or something else, so I'd be booking a vet for other tests, if the chiro's not one. Many of those issues show up only on a circle, when the horse is carrying a rider/weight & often unilateral.
