The farrier came out to take my horses shoes off for winter today and found that he is developing laminitis. (he has been slightly off for the past week so we were already keeping an yey on him.) I know the general do's and dont's, He is currently seperated in a stall and paddock with nothing but fresh water and older hay (most of what we have right now is quite rich) no grain, cob, beet pulp, treats, etc... Is there anything else I should be doing/not doing? The vet will be coming out in the next day or so, but until then are there any suggestions? I have heard that adding apple cider vinegar to they're water or feed is supposed to help by balancing ph among many other things, does anyone know this to be true? What about flaxseed oil? (I have fed it before I am just not sure if it would be safe to feed while he has laminitis)

Thanks in advance!!
