I'm going to be switching my horse's feed over very soon. That being because Tractor Supply tells me that Dumor (he's currently eating Dumor Performance Sweet Feed 14%) is going out of business. I asked my vet about it, and she said that Legends would be a good brand of feed to try out. Since I'm going to start showing him next summer, and he's also used for pleasure riding, I looked online and decided I would try out Legends Show & Pleasure Sweet Feed. But, before I tried it out, I wanted to know what other Legends users thought about the feed. To give you a little information on my horse, he is a seven year old TB who currently is on good pasture, but is also getting fed 1 flake of grass hay every night, and is fed 2 qts. of Dumor Performance Sweet Feed 14% in the morning and at night. I ride him almost every day, usually for at least an hour if I can (because of school, and having to ride the bus, I get home at 4:00, two hours before it gets dark). I'm also starting to jump him again, since he's put on a lot of weight since I got him, and is beginning to look like he should again. So, tell me, is Legends really a good brand of feed? Have you ever had any complications or problems with your horses while using it? Also, any other feed reccomendations you have if I decide not to go with Legends? And, if you think his meals are too little or too much, let me know what you think I should do to change it. Thanks guys!
