i used to own a mare. she was a beautiful 16.2h chestnut trained thru Prix St. George. i got her for $2000 bc she was ruined mentally by being pushed too hard too fast by these dumb people. i rehabed her and turned her into a gorgeous hunter. one of the olympic teams in another country wanted her for their dressage team but we said no bc we knew she would go back to the way she was before i got her. she was such a lovely horse but she could be a primadonna at times! lol i ended up selling her to a dressage girl who was my friend and wanted to use her at small shows nothing to big so the pressure wouldnt be too bad, at least thats what she told me. well i found out about a year after i had sold her Erowyn that she had starved her to make her "behave" and retired her at a broodmare even though she was 350lbs underweight and when i saw her she was so mean bc the girl and her mom beat her! my heart broke into a thousand pieces and i tried to buy her back but she wouldnt let me. i sold her to that girl for only $8000 bc she promised to take care of her.

but anyway, i absolutely love the breed i think they are gorgeous and are just such nice horses and very versatile...

sorry for the long rant, it still makes me sad to think of my beautiful girl

we called animal control on them, crappy part is the girls parents own a mechanic shop up in the city that their in and all the cops go there so they know them real well, and when the cop came out he threatened me saying that my horse was skinny and blah blah blah cuz i had moved my gelding there for a couple months until i could find somewhere else to go after my trainer moved. but whatev... one day i'm hoping to get her back. her Daddy was Fleetwood Mac not sure about her mom
