I'm hoping to 'go bitless' with my gelding, as he rides really well in a halter and leadrope... but I don't have a bitless bridle or anything...

So, I'm looking for one. I can't spend a whole, whole lot... probably... $45 is my maximum... though honestly, $35 is more in my price range, and that's cutting it close.

So, if anyone has a bitless bridle or a sidepull bridle for sale...

^^^I have one of those on Lacey (only mine is glow-in-the-dark and green) and she loves it. I find it difficult but not impossible to direct rein in and great for neckreining. Lacey really likes it. I've been using mine since around September (riding in it twice a week or so) and it's just great, I definitely recommend it..

Britt, what kind of sidepull are you looking for? I think I have one leather with the wide noseband (it's more gentle then rope halter or indian hackamore). I got 2 from ebay (out of greediness) and while use one (used it to start my horses), 2nd one still sits in my tack box I believe. It's hand-made, and the tack store which used to sell them somehow not on ebay anymore. I paid something like $35 each, would sell for $20 + shipping.

Old thread, but I thought I'd mention - when I ride my mare Freyja, it's in a bitless sidepull/Indian hack, like the one ShutupJoe posted, and I love it, she does wonderful in it. I had never gone bitless before, but when I broke Freyja she seemed to have some kind of allergy to the stainless, copper, and iron bits I tried on her, her lips were terribly swollen from 5 minutes of being bitted. I think I paid about $25 for mine, also off of ebay...
