I got some very very bad news this morning. My cat had been hit by a car Tuesday, and had to be euthanized. I had been looking for him since Monday night, and he was found and taken to the vet Tuesday morning by a neighbor. I was and still am crying pretty hard. My husband took a couple of hours off with me this morning to drive me over to take care of the horses. When we got there, Rookie met me at the fence. I walked into their pasture and he got in front of me and wouldn't let me pass him. I finally stood still, looked at him, and said "What?". He took a couple of steps forward and put his head over my shoulder. This is the first horse I have EVER had that acted like this. Rosie, this morning, and the past horses tended to be curious, but kind of keep their distance. It was like he was actually hugging me and in horsey talk telling me that it was ok. I'm still amazed. I just picked this guy up on Tuesday evening, and he's already acting like this to me. Now, I'm POSITIVE that he was a very good choice for me.
