Most of you know that Chance has been having some off rides, but one of the boarders mentioned she may be having a Magnesium Deficancy, it seems to only be in the winter. Shes out now 24/7 so she can get any access energy off rather then being cooped up in a stall. I know the boarder put her gelding on something for the Magnesium Deficancy but I haven't seen her in a while so I thought i'd ask here :)

Does anyone have experience with it???
Thanks in advance.

Any time you start mucking with minerals, you risk the chance of overdosing. Some minerals can interfere with the absorption of others. If you think she has a deficiency, the best thing you can do is get her blood tested. Certain areas of the country lack some minerals or have excess of the ones that block absorption, so it is a good idea to get your hay tested as well, to make sure you don't need to suppliment.
