I bought a cute show pad that's really pretty, but it's too big/long for my 14hh POA. What are some things I can do to make it smaller? I don't really want to fold it (wouldn't it be uncomfortable for my horse?) but I will if I have to. Could I cut it up? I'm hesitant to do that because it wasn't cheap!
What would you do?

Is it a saddle pad or a saddle blanket?

A saddle pad, I can't help you.
A saddle blanket, on the other hand, is meant to be folded in half - "hamburger style", at least. If it's still to big after that, perhaps you can fold it in thirds, "envelope style"?

Can't you just take it back and swap it for a smaller size if it hasn't already been used?

It's a saddle blanket, sorry! It's a Mayatex one. I bought it off eBay so I can't return it :/
Any ideas?
