Ok, so the last one I did, I really didn't get a response to my question... most of you put that your mares get really witchy when they are in heat, but when my one goes into heat she is super nice, but when she isn't in heat she's really witchy.. so would spaying her really do anything?

I would guess that her hormones would change so it could go either way. Since she is witchy when she is NOT in heat she could stay witchy all the time. OR she may balance out and be super nice all the time. That's kind of a guessing game, I think a better answer may come from your vet.

If you spay her chances are she would be whitchy 27/7 like she is when she is not in heat as that would be her permanent status.

I agree I would pull blood both in heat and not in heat and see what is going on. I would also have her ultra sounded to see if there was anything you could see there also.

Thanks for all the replies! I'll look into it, but chance are that we won't do anything about it because... well Carrie is Carrie, and I love her very much the way she is!
Thanks for the answer though... that was actually the answers I really wanted!
Much appreciated!!
