So I've seen Mcal everywhere when talking about equine nutrition, but I don't really know what they are. I emailed Standlee asking how many calories per pound were in their Alfalfa pellets, and they told me 0.90 Mcal. I tried to do the conversion to regular calories on google, but it said 0.90 Mcal was equivalent to 900,000 calories. Clearly I'm missing something here....

An MCal is 1000 calories. 0.90 is 900 calories.
