What a lovely horse!
While you are a nice gutsy rider, I hope you don't mind if I offer suggestions.
I'm not fond of the way you turn your horse's head as you approach jumps. I guess you are doing it as a way to check his speed? If so, you are pulling him off balance and that is why you lost those hay bales. Keep your upper body quieter and you may push him forward less. If you are pulling his head off track because you need to guide his line more, I would suggest you use more leg and less hand.
You never want to turn your horse's head off track that way. It not only unbalances him, it may make it difficult to see the next jump in time to prepare himself for it.
thanks for your advice. i take it all on board, i know where your coming from and i dont normally do this. i have been ill over the last few weeks but still wanted to compete. also i forget where the next jump was so had to pull him round quickly. thanks for advice. will take this all on.
by the way everyone, i dont mind critque, onnly improve my riding.
Such a lovely horse! what a willing partner! no critique from me but you're quite a brave rider, exactly what this really bouncy and spunky green horse needs. Excited to see how you guys progress. You both look great!
