Casanova is my registered paint colt that will be shown in halter and barrel
raced when he's older. I bought him today and signed the papers, he'll be
arriving on Friday!

I was so pleased to meet such a well mannered boy, let me touch all over, lifted
his feet with no problem, and takes shots like a champ. He even leads well and
ties! I've got all of Friday to be the first to teach him that trailers are nice
places, and I'm even borrowing a dead calm pony to show him the ropes and keep
him company on the 2 hour ride to his new home.

His sire and dam were both angels and built well, and little Casanova should
mature to 15h, and will be kept intact. His sire wasn't the least bit studdy,
more interested in me petting him than the nearby mares and another stallion.

Get ready world, here comes a legend, but if nothing else, my new partner in crime.

Thanks everyone! And here I thought I was the only one that could see what a cutie he was, my husband thinks he's plain, haha.

I have to send in his papers, but I'm not sure what color he should be marked as, he's darkened up a lot since he was a baby, but then again, winter is coming, and his sire went from being the color he is now to almost black.

Trailqueen, you're the first I've ever known to have a thing for medicine hats, haha.

Do his ears have black points on them? It appears that his one back leg with color just above the hock goes from brown to black as it goes down so I would guess that he is a bay. But that's just judging from those pictures and it is kinda hard to tell.

Yes, he does come to think of it. My first was a bay, I guess I've always had it drilled into me that bay was brown with black stockings and ear lining, mane, and tail. And here I was trying to figure out what brown to label him as.
