When I went out to check my Mini's tonight I noticed something on the side of Delilah's face. Right in from of her cheek bone she has a 2 inch deep (down into her fur) and 3 inches wide knot.. It wasn't there when I done the evening feeding. I couldn't take pics it was dark and she is a black horse so it wouldn't have shown up anyway. It's very hard, nothing draining from it and it dosen't seem to be bothering her. She is swallowing fine but she is making a weird noise when she open her mouth like she's trying to pop her jowl. Is this something I should be worried about tonight? I will go out to check on her again when my dad gets here. He thought he might have been snake bite (yes we have snakes out here in the winter. Not often but it does happen) but it is not soft and gooey like the last time we had a horse with snake bite. Is there anything I should do or just monitor it?

Thanks so much.
