Thinking ahead to braiding/banding for show season, does anybody's horse get like a mohawk of a bunch of new mane along their crest? Majic has a bad one, I think the hairs are about 2 inches long (maybe), now do I just wait and hope that they grow out some more, or if I cute them is it going to make a long of fly aways when it comes to braiding? Today I tried to do a cute running braid but all those fly aways were just awful and made it look like a bird's nest!

Rosie has a "mohawk" of new hair on her crest. Only hers is about 4 inches long. And sticking STRAIGHT up. I've actually started using the MTG on it to try to get it to grow out enough to lay down.

Yeah, my horse is starting a little mohawk of her own. =P I always trim the stray hairs with scissors at shows to make her look neater, so I guess this is what I get.
