Has anyone successfully had their boots "altered" or cut down? I just bought a pair of new Mountain Horse Sovereign field boots and they fit except for at the very top, they are too wide there, like I can fit my fist in the gap. I am hoping I can make these work but wanted to see if anyone has had experience with having them cut down for this issue?

I've had the opposite issue. A good repair person should be able to accomplish that with no problem as long as there is room in the shaft to remove a V.
