The time has come, i must move my horses living situation.

This has been the plan since i first started riding that when my barn owners youngest daughter graduated high school she was going to sell her property and down size to a smaller place. We hoped she would find a place that was big enough and close enough for us to move with her but life happens and we just have to be grateful for everything i’ve learned in that amazing barn, that was mine and my horses home.

Anyways, i found a new boarding barn. It is smaller and fits all our needs with a price within our budget. We are moving there in a month and i was wondering if anyone has any tips on how to make the move easier on the horses and how to keep their stress levels down for an easy transition! TIA

I have not had issues moving horses. When I traveled for work, I always took a horse or two that I was working on with me. We moved every few days.

Consider the horses of rodeo contestants. Or people who show on a circuit.

I even take horses to ranches for a day to a week. They always do fine.
