I was wondering if anyone ever put a drain pipe in a stall deep enough so they wernt stepping on it and busting it? I have one stall in my barn that water is laying in it and its a muddy mess i cleaned it out and put shell in it but its back to being awful again any ideas? I didnt know if a drain pipe would work or not

Why is your stall wet? Is it because of a low spot that collects run off? You may be able to put weeping tile at the lowest edge of the stall close so the wall to that it is less likely that it would get stepped on; you may also have to slope the stall floor to encourage the water to move to the edge. Alternatively, you may be able to bring in more dirt and raise the floor sufficiently to prevent the water from collecting to begin with. Either way, water has to be able to drain away from the site so you may also have to do some work to the outside of the barn as well. Good luck with it.

^^^ yes. You need to decide how to keep the water out, not try to drain it when it's already in.

I've often wondered why it's still called weeping tile when it's no long tile but a flexible pipe with a bazillion small holes. You'd have to put this down a good couple of feet on a bed of crushed rock then covered with crushed then soil. It needs to have somewhere to empty that is lower than the pipe. Some water will go down thro the bottom crushed but some will need to run out.
