A fair while ago I realised my horse constantly eating the leaves and probably the berrys aswell from a mulberry tree. There was a large tree in the yard she was fed and when I'd come out to let her into the paddock I'd find the tree stripped of it's leaves from as high as she could reach, And also noticed a few other horses eating the bark.

Is any of this bad :S

They must taste good because our mares do the same thing....strip the leaves as far as they can reach and eat mulberries off the ground. They've done it for many years and I've never seen any problems from it.
