I just recently purchased my first horse. Before now I was just leasing. My horse has good ground manners. My problem is when I get on her. In the arena she takes off running. Then outside the arena she either will not move or takes any chance she can get to go back to the other horses. I do not know if I could be hurting her because her hoofs need trimmed. (I called the farrier.) I also do not know if I may be hurting her back because her top line is very thin. So far all I can come up with is her being buddy sour. Thanks for any input.

Taking off when you mount is a behavioral issue. When you get on her, bring her back to a halt as soon as you can and then make her stand for several minutes before you go to work.
As for her outside the ring behavior, that sounds to me like she is herdbound.
