In some cases, changing the hoof angle to improve the blood supply to the bone can help. But it's a complicated subject and what works for one horse doesn't necessarily work for another.

The last resort is "nerving." The article explains that. I sure hope you can find something that helps your horse. It's a heartbreaking and frightening diagnosis but not always "terminal."
