Hi!
It's going quite well at the moment, though I've just started riding again after a few years of doing absolutely nothing and I think I've gotten lazy and picked up some bad habits! I went for a 2 hour hack today and loved it - but all the way around I was wondering if my stirrups were too long? They felt fine when we were just walking, but trotting & cantering felt a bit...loose? I'm wondering if this is down to me just being back in the saddle, or whether they need to go up another notch. I'm 5'8 and Jenson is 15hh. My knee seems to be in the right place against the saddle, but I'm not convinced I'm doing things right!

I know in a western saddle you should be able to fit your fist under your butt when you stand in the stirrups. I'm assuming you are riding English?
I think the stirrup is suppose to be at the ankle but not sure. Sorry couldn't be more help :?
