first vince ran away from me whilst i tried to catch him.....not happy :x. he was fine on the way down the hill to the back paddock....almost. he threw a few little bucks but that was it. when we actually got to the paddock all..and i mean ALL of the cows (thats 30+) were in it. after getting them out i had about 30 mintutes of light left....i re-mounted and began walking vince in a circle. so far alright.....except he wasn't bending into the circle...he was bending OUT! i circled for 6 circles and asked for a trot....he bounded straight into a canter. i brought him back to a walk (i would've slowed him to a trot except he either stopped or walked) and asked for a trot again...same thing. well this goes on for about 10 minutes before he remembered what a trot was. he was alright for the trot...only constantly stopping. he stopped about 16 times before finally doing his "buisness"......twice. he began to settle down and listen to my aids so i changed my direction and went the other side. it was back to the beggining again....he stops or bounds into a canter except he didnt really get better. i got him to trot but that was about it. after 5 minutes work he started to throw his head down.....and run out of the circle. i tried turning him but he would'nt stop running out. he kept going straight with his head turned around....and he did this all through the ride. by this time dad had kept the headlights on the flat so i could see where i was riding as it was dark by now.i kept going and going but he wasn't getting any better and i was just getting angrier and angrier so i figured i should stop before i did something. i brought him up to the car (not straight at the headlights but towards the side) and untacked him, rubbed him down etc. and put his halter on. then i lead him to the gate, opened it and walked through with him. then he took off with the leadrope tyed around his neck...and kept galloping over the hill. eventually i caught him but still he didn't need to run off! i'm so mad at him! :evil: i was planning to do some jumping with him after our warm up but had to flush them (my plans) down the dunny (toilet)

i feel a bit better now......and i am going to see how he goes tomorrow....and bring a lunge rope and lunging whip too..
