Im looking into buying a M toulouse Prima 17" W Long Flap saddle mainly for low level eventing. Ive heard these saddles are very comfortable and fit a variety of horses? Any opinions??
I have this saddle and LOVE it. It is extremely comfortable and I would take this saddle over my sisters $3,000 prestige any day. I definitely recommend it.
I ride in an M. Toulouse (not sure what kind) but god I love it. It's SO comfortable and fits every horse I've used it on.
The girth billets on mine are VERY thick too, none of those flimsy stretchy tiny little things. Only bad thing there is it won't fit in some of the really small girth buckles.
Otherwise, definitely a good saddle. My favorite of all the ones I've ever ridden in.
I have been abe to ride in an M.T and I loved it. Great saddle, so long as it works for both you and your horses body types.
The story that it fits a wide variety of horses, is a load of crap as far as I am concerned. Every horse is shaped differently, and are not cookie cutter molded where 1 saddle will accomodate all that it sits on.
I agree that they are very comfortable.. My sister just purchased a new saddle and one of the ones we tried was a toulouse. She sat in both the primia and legano but took the premia home to try out. Unfortunately the primia did not fit my sisters pony whatsoever. I read a lot of reviews on them while she was shopping though and most seem to like them. The most issue I read about with them is how easily the leather shows wear because of how soft it is and scratches easily.
