Follow up from that thread ^

I had my laparoscopy today. The surgery itself went well, and I'm feeling really good, considering the pain and stuff, but the results were not good.
It turns out that I have severe endometriosis. There was too much of it and it bled so much that he couldn't get any of it out.
The plan of action now is to go on Lupron and then try the surgery again in 6-8 months.

*sigh*
Dear God,
I would like a new body please. This one seems to be broken.

Dang, girl >.< I'm glad your surgery went well but that sucks that you'll have to do it pretty much all over again.

I already commented that on Facebook, but can just repeat it: Warm hugs to you and good luck for the next surgery. At least you and they know now and can really prepare to remove all of it.

Sorry you have to wait! The good side is - they figured out what is wrong and now they have a plan of action to deal with it. Yippeee for that.

Thank you guys for your awesome support. I am very appreciative.

I guess I am a bit let down a the results. Endo is unfortunately a lifelong battle (well.. as long as your uterus is functioning) and that it's so severe is just ugh.

Anyways, on a more positive note, I had a good night's sleep (though drug induced lol) and while the pain is sharp and achey this morning, recovery is going to be a breeze compared to my knee.

Recovery is sloooooooow. I can walk much better now, but we're still not convinced it's better. I'm just a little bit worse than pre-op right now, but as I keep saying, I am seeing progress!!

*does a little dance* I sneezed and it didn't kill me!!
I think recovery is going really well and really easily (at least compared to the knee!) because in all reality, they didn't do much in me, other than poke around and try to make an exploratory cut into the endo. I have 2 incisions which are still sore, but getting better, I get sharp pains inside every once in a while, but moving, using my abs, everything is coming much easier now.
Thanks for asking, HP :D
I guess the reality of going on hormone treatment is sinking in, and I'm not looking forwards to it....although I suppose as long as I don't grow a beard... *sigh*

Allie, I am so sorry that they weren't able to get you fixed up. It seems that you have been using up enough bad luck to cover you and everyone here on the forum for the rest of our lives :(. The immediate prognosis is less than great but there is hope for the future. Just keep that head up and remember that we are all here pulling for you and sending you best wishes. (((((HUGS)))))
