I'm thinking it might be the angle? (hopefully, this trim cost me 100 bucks, it better be darn near perfect!) Here's another of the hind:

Thanks for your critiques. I'm going to buy a book, but with all the texts I'm trying to read right now, It'd be so much easier to find someone I trust 100%. The old farrier never did quite a pronounced roll before. These are not the greatest pictures, I took them while trying to rush out of the barn. She did begin to lengthen her trot earlier today. She has a tendency to start out pretty choppy. I noticed quite a bit more rearranging of her hind feet during the canter though, especially to the right. Not sure what this means. She is just starting to feel comfortable in that gait.
