Hey everyone.
My mare will go in to have her stifle surgery on Monday. It will be a long day for me.
In the early am I have someone coming to pick her up and take her to the hospital and drop her off. I will follow in my car.
Then I retun to the barn as my gelding is having a bunch of "spring" things done to him..teeth, shots, sheath.
Then I am hoping to return to the vet hospital in the later afternoon to see Candi after her surgery.
I had an ultrasound done yesterday to check for any soft tissue stuff and we found the OCD lesions to be "not very deep" So again the vet explained to me that her prognosis was very very good.

So on Monday if you all could just keep us in your thoughts I would appreciate it.
I have school in the evening on Monday so when I return home I will post an update on how things went.
Thanks in advance!

Thanks everyone.
Tomorrow iss her day! I will make sure to give her extra love and more grazing time today.
Poor girl is already full of herself from not working.
We have been handwalking and she jigs and wants to run and play. But due to a really good soaking rain I opted not to turn her loose in the round pen....just too muddy and slippery.

thanks again from Halfpass and Candi

Thanks so much.
I was just on the phone with the gal who will trailer Candi up the road to the Vet hospital.
You all I am so dang nervous. I can hardly focus on my homewark. But if I leave the work til tomorrow it wont get done.
Tomorrow she will leave at 730 am and her surgery is scheduled for 12:30 pm.

It is the BM's day off tomorrow. We are going to try and ride together on the bridle path. Not sure if it will work out or not. I am able to ride a Haffie anytime I want but the shot clinic is tomorrow and the Haffie and my gelding are having the works done...Teeth sheath shots....And walla! Squeaky clean gelding's... So...if it works out cool.

I know I will feel totally anxious all day. I am supposed to go to my college class at 5:30 pm, but I want to see my girl first. The office said I should be able to come see her post op.

I will try and take a phone pic but not sure if it will work or not.

Thanks Jazzy, Smrobs, JDI

It is about 5:30 am and I am trying to go about my morning in the usual fashion. Only thing is my coffee just didn't sit right this morning. May be a bit anxious!
I am hopng she will load this morning without to much of a fuss. This gal has a stock trailer and I dont think she has been in one before. When Brian brought her home from the 2 months training he said she loaded just fine into his slant load.
Its just that every time she has been loaded in a trailer over the last 10 months, some "Big Change" has come.

I totally appreciate all the thoughts and prayers. JDI your so right about having the prayers and well wishes floating out there.

I want to say thanks to everyone for being so supportive through this. I am so happy to have it and I know that whatever the future holds you all will be here.

~*~ thanks HF members ~*~

Thanks everyone.
Surgery was postponed til tomorrow...

I have been up this morning since well before the sun!
The lady who took Candi to the vet hospital, wasn't there at 7:30 am.
She arrived at about 5 after 8. Wish I would have known I would have slept until 6 lol.

Oh well.

We had only a tiny bit of resistance with Candi getting in the trailer.
I was completely fine until the gals truck started and I hopped into my car to follow and then Candi started to whinny the sadest whinny!
I about cried but managed to push them back.

We got there and all the check in went well. Candi was quite full of herself in her paddock. Bucking and squealing in this small area!
I left shortly after and returned to the ranch.
I got my gelding and Bear from pasture and in another area so they would be ready for the clinic later.
I then went in the lounge to do home work.
Candi was to have her surgery at 12 30 pm but they called at noon and said it may be postponed until tomorrow. Due to an emergency colic surgery.
I feel for those people!
So they confirmed an hour later she will have her surgery done in the morning tomorrow.

I watched my gelding have some dental work and his shots etc. Then I came home to rest before class.

So tomorrow I will be out to the ranch to ride with the barn Manager and her son. Yes the same son who ****ed me off. I am over all that and I am glad there is no funkiness with anyone.

Tomorrow i will be certain to post as soon as I come home and let you all know how things go.
In a way I am glad they postponed it. I would rather the surgeon be fresh in the morning!
So there you have it.
Keep the well wishes and prayers coming as I know you all will.
