I've been looking around for a horse for a while and a friend pointed out these three horses from a breeder nearby.
What do you think they would be best suited to?
Is there any conformation faults that scream out to you?
There are no conformation picks so do the best you can

i really like the last one the "black and white mare" i like how she's built i like that she's stockyier than the other to, and the first two horses look like they have roman noses in some pictures and high withers, but it is hard to tell as they are the best pictures for looking at confo.

i hope your not just looking at paint colored horses. trust me, just keep your mind open. I was looking at just paints, but it narrowed me down so much and kept so many great horses out of the "search" that I decided to stop. I like the first one,though we need mre conformation-like pics to really get an idea.

I personally wouldnt pay almost 5 grand for them, do they have good bloodlines?
I would offer $3000 but I dont think their worth more than that if they don't have proven bloodlines, their nothing spectacular.

You're asking the wrong questions.

They should be...and not necessarily in this order:

1) What do *I* want to with the horse? What are my short term goals? My long term goals?
2) What am I capable of doing in terms of training? What am I not?
3) How much money do I have?
4) What are my specific criteria? (It seems color ranks pretty high on your list)
5) What are things I'm negotiable about?

None of these individuals are standouts, but all would be more than capable of doing a little of this and a little of that at the lower levels. The black and white mare has the best constructed riding hindquarter. The black and white gelding has the best constructed front end. The brown and white mare is equal in build front and back.

Don't worry, I'm not looking for any particular colour, my friend had just heard they have good horses. The person selling these three horses just happens to have a lot of paint horses for sale right now

Mercedes' questions and analysis of the buying decision process are excellent.

Based on a very casual review of the photos of the horses listed; the black and white mare is the most attractive and the most athletically conformed.

Cinderella is jumping well in the one free jump photo, but *badly* under a rider. May be a problem that proper training could correct, but her jumping photos would scare me off.

Jack Sparrow's jumping photos are more encouraging, but he's got an underdeveloped neck and a high head set.

The unnamed mare is the pick of the litter as far as I can tell. Better mover, better jumper.

Sorry, I should have been a bit more detailed in the first post.
Im looking for a horse to go trekking and use around my aunts farm as well as a horse that has the potential to do well in dressage as this is something i want to focus on in the next few years.
I spent the last year working with yearlings but I want a horse who knows the basics.
Colour really doesn't matter, Pintos are cute but I couldn't care less about colour.
I also have about 5k to spend
