I was hoping some one could give me additional advice or insight. I have a ten yr old gelding. A year ago he hadweight issues not terrible in my eyes but he needed some attention. He wouldnt let you get on him either unless you just got on him while walking away. Also had some behavior peoblems. since then spring summer fall winter. I thought I had fixed them. Iwas regularly riding him, picked up his weightand although still tested me frequently I still enjoyed hm. 4 weeks ago I put my GF on him who 12 years in the game breezed race horses broke colts and worked for vets. She was getting comffy on him to run barrels when he started his crap long story short he threatened her bouncing on front end to rear bucked a couple times. Now Im on him getting after him he seemed fine then in a lope yammed on his break and just became resistant. Since has almost taken my head off spiinning to stand and bounced although not terrified. I dont want to get hurt. I have been through alot with the horse had pros ride him tell me my hands where full. Watched the horse go straight up with some one else on him(pro) was told he needed back work by chiropracor who adjusted him. So now what to do I still ride him white snot from the nose ribs hang out on one side but not the other diff. to ride alone goes into squat and pees frequently resistant to spurs and exercise. Yet pros tell me he is dead broke and has patential? Iam bringing him to chiropractor and to do basic blood work for norm levels oh yeah he had lymes last year so did 30 days of doxy twice a day. How do I fix him

Start, of course, with the chiropractor to rule out any pain problems due to misalignment. I would also check ALL tack, saddle, bridle, everything to make sure theres no pain coming from that.
Is he shod at all? Rock in a hoof, or sensitive hooves perhaps? When was the last time his sheath was cleaned and teeth floated? I had issues with my gelding because of a unclean sheath and teeth in need of a float. Now he just has some serious barn sour problems and will bounce, hop, and bolt JUST to get back to the barn.

What kind of bit are you using? Also, how frequently are you riding him and were do you ride the most?
How is he on a lunge? How are his ground manners? How does he respond to ground commands like walk, stop, turn, back up?

He's great on the ground I mean awesome. I had a pro make a short shank snaffle . In the spring I rode him aot 4 to 5 days through the summer, fall through winter sat and sunday and every sat sun since he was great all winter. He lounges, starts acting stubborn kicks out with the wip and a few cracks of the wip he usually is ok. have to shake lounge to get him to move forward. You just cant let your guard down he knows instantly.

Sorry, I didn't read your whole OP... I got lost in the run on sentences and poor grammar. I only say this to help you get better answers: good clear question = good answers.
