well she's starting the senior feed this week shes been on the complete.

Do you think i can just do 9 lbs of the senior in 3 meals ( 3 - 3 - 3) and cut the beet pulp back ? Beet pulps just as expensive as the grain haha.

I looked up the pound -> quarts from triple crowns site and tc senior is 1.08 lbs per quart. I looked up beet pulp and it said 3 qt is 1.8 lbs. thats a lot of beet pulp for such little poundage.

The beet pulp was generalized so i'll have to weight mine to see if thats acurate enough.

i just sat here and did the calculations

AM
6 qts beet pulp = 3.6 lbs
3 qts senior = 3.24 lbs

PM
4 qts beet pulp = 2.4 lbs
2 1/2 qts senior = 2.7 lbs

grand total 11.94 lbs a day ? is this right? if thats right then i've been off on my calculations of how much beet pulp shes been getting >.< shes only been getting 2 - 3qts 2x a day of the beet pulp. normally 2 qts b/c she gets too full and sometimes when i give the 3 qts beet pulp she wont finish her hay.

SO with that said, help ? LOL im confusing myself again ugh.

Having said that, feeding too much is better than feeding too little.

sure if you want her to founder... too much can kill her..

last i checked when i was feeding her 6 qts 3x a day each meal of southern states select line (cheaper version of the triple crown, same company) i was told she'll founder so i had to reduce it. to 3 qts 3x a day. i don't need her foundering..

I think im going to start with 2 qts beet pulp 3x a day and 3 qts of senior 3x a day see where it gets her in a month and adjust from there. i was just wondering if any one else had any input. being there already is beet pulp in the feed.

vets are not nutrisionists.... big difference in the knowledge of each feed. so technically i'd have to get a nutrisionist out not a vet.

shes been getting 3.6 lbs a day wich is 4 qts the past 2 ish weeks. as i cut from 3qts 2x a day because if i gave her the full scoop she wouldent finish her hay.

So i think i'll start with 9 qts a day (3 qts 3 meals) and the 2 qts beet pulp 3 x a day for a month or two and maybe cut out the beet pulp and grain at lunch time if she ends up not needing it . its a waiting game now. i'll take pictures saturday then the 3rd saturday after being on it and then the 3rd saturday after that see how it works.

i just wanted to make sure it wasent too much per meal. thats all i asked =/

No i have not asked my vet... and i have a nutrisionist in the area i can call but its not cheap..

again, all i asked was if the poundage was too much per meal. far from that i dont need your opinion on who i should call to ask.
