You are far from having the problem of too much killing her. I hope you get the feed worked out in order to get her where she needs to be.

No you wouldn't. Vets are very good at coming up with a plan that best suits an underweight horse. I think you would completely benefit from a decent vet.

I have been extremely lucky with my vet. He and his staff are really knowledgeable on nutrition and keep up with all the new supplements and feeds and how they affect the horses in their care.
