Hi, I'm looking for english tack for a 16.3 hand ex racer thoroughbred that I am leasing and was wondering if I could have some advice on what tack I should look for. I am on a low budget.

Also I was wondering if regent saddle are any good, I found one that I am looking at, but i need to know if they are worth it.

Here is the pic of the one I'm looking at:

Cheap, badly made saddles manufactured in India. There's a reason Regent saddles aren't expensive.

Speed Racer is absolutely right-on about the Regent saddle. Your horse won't be happy with it. Which translates to: you won't be happy riding an unhappy horse.

You can find good saddles on a budget. You'll be looking for something used and probably an older model from the 70's or 80's. You might find something that looks quite worn, but if it's a well-made saddle that's been cared for and has a solid, straight tree, you and your horse will be happier than with a new, cheaply-made saddle.

Look for saddles made in the UK, Europe, US, Canada, or Australia. You can find some decent ones out of Argentina as well, but a lot of them aren't decent, so you need to be careful with those.

For some examples of what some of us have found, check this thread out:

That was actually my first saddle. It was a Christmas present when I was a teenager. And I agree... you are wasting your money. It's terrible. I would be shocked if it fit ANY horse even reasonably well. It put me in a horrible chair seat, and it gave me an awful jumping position.
