I prefer lace ups over pull ons. Have never tried boots with zippers.

Avoid those , LOL I had a pair of winter riding boots, with zipper in back. The zipper broke , shortly after I bought them, and to have it re paired, first could hardly find anyone to do it, and secondly, would have cost almost as much as the boot
They were full length riding boots.

iNow keep my riding boots separate from my 'working boots,although I have been known to ride in what western, would be paddock boots.
I love the Muck Boots and ride in the winter in the colts
