Please could someone tell me, What colours of saddle pad and ear bonnets are horses allowed to wear in the ring at a Show Jumping competition in the UK?

Everything I can find states that there are no rules for pad/bonnet colours in showjumping, at any level, and I've seen some pretty wild colours/combinations even on the FEI circuit.

I am in Australia, but a lot of our upper level comps are run under FEI rules, and there's a young adult doing the 1.35s in hot pink. Her jacket is navy but her body protector is hot pink, and her horse wears a pink pad, ears, and boots. They look fantastic and they're SUPER distinctive because no one else is in pink. Lots of people use royal blue, or navy, or grey, and a couple of folks wear bottle green. There's a rider who's known for only riding greys and she's almost always in grey herself. There are a few who wear maroon, including one local who grew up wearing it because it was her pony club's colour. The one colour I've never seen is true red and I think that's because there's still so much tradition surrounding it. There's one local rider who could wear it without getting weird looks and he prefers to compete in his farm's colours. There's no actual rule against wearing red just because you like the colour, but trust me when I say you'll get seriously nasty looks if you haven't "earned it".

Wearing yellow in a Rodeo arena was always Taboo, lol... It was though that it would bring you bad luck if you worn the color.

But now adays theres alot of contestants wearing the Color Yellow, they have broke the spell. :ROFLMAO:
