I know there was a thread started on this already, but I wanted to start one of my own.

Sam is 22 years old and while he still is sound, I wanted to put him on a joint supplement. He is lightly used 2 -3 times a week for beginner lessons and I trail ride him occasionally. I definitely want Hyaluronic Acid and MSM, but when it comes down to actually choosing one...I'm lost. I am on a budget with my horses, I can't spend $70 a month, if I can find a good supplement for less.

SmartPak recommended this one for him:SmartFlex Senior Pellets What would your opinions be on it?

Thanks!

I have my 36 year old gelding on the smartflex senior powder(powder is cheaper then pellets) He's been on it for just over a year and does very well on it. He is retired, but is completely sound and if I could get more weight on him I could take him on a ride and he'd be fine. I love the smartflex senior as it's not just a joint supplement. I would highly recommend it to anyone with a senior horse.
