So, I now own three riding rain sheets which don’t fit my mare. She has a short back, a big bum and is overall rather compact.

They are either too small at the back so her whole bum sticks out or if he bum fits the front part is waaay to long and isn’t safe to ride in because it dangles down.

Maybe I should get rain wear for cobs, if there are such things?

Any other ideas?

I think pick the big one and get it tailored. Any tailor should do for something like a rainsheet and would even risk it myself if I still had a sewing machine. I'd want professional quality for a turnout though. As for brands over here shires and weatherbeeta have been fitting the little tanks quite well and I live in the land of cobs. I don't think they even need rugging but owners like them clean.

I found a rug that fit my mare everywhere but shoulder/front. I got a rug expander, full bib type, and it was a gamechanger. Good luck!
