I dont know whats happenin with my boy. I cant say for sure how long this has been going on but anyways yesterday I was out with him and he was sneezing, not blowing, sneezing almost vicious like? its buggin him like he has something in his nose he is trying to get out. It will go on for a few minutes then he seems ok but then tonight I was out to throw his blanket on and he was doing it again. Anyone know what this might be? I have never seen anything like this before. He doesnt show any other symptoms other then the wicked sneezing so far. Any help would be great!

My horse has the heaves and allergies so it may be either one. But it may also be neither. Does he eat alot of hay?

he does ya, hes kind of a pig..lol...its buggin him cause when he sneezes its like hes trying to get something out of his nose and he rubs his head on anything like hes irritated...I just hope it isnt anything serious. None of the other horses seem to be doing it so I am not sure whats happenin..

i know this may be a pain but sometiems when the mold spores in the hay burst it can cause Heaves in horses. Thta means you will need to soak his hay for like 6 hrs before he can eat it because that will do something to the hay that makes the spores disinigrate(sp?). It may be the Heaves but thats what it sounds like to me. Maybe a simple allergy too. But i would try soaking his hay. My horse has both of these so in the winter we have to soak his hay all the time.
