Odie got kicked somewhere(from what the vet & I can tell):?. My best guess as to the location is in the soft tissue just above his elbow. And that's just a guess, it's the ONLY place he seems even the slightest bit tender.
He's getting 2mg Bute a day (1 in the morning, the other in the evening), I've been hosing his shoulder & leg with cold water, & he's on 2 day stall rest with lots of fluffy shavings:wink:
He will for a few steps put weight on it, but then the next few none at all. He doesn't show any signs of not wanting to move (he started trying to trot off w/ my daughter to get to some grass). But then again, he's always been a stubborn mule, LOL and has rarely ever shown any pain in the past.
I'm wondering if any of you know of any other remedies for him? The sooner I can get him to put consistant weight on that leg, the sooner I can get him to stop bearing weight on his arthritic legs....sigh, if it's not one thing, it's another:?:wink:
