Hi:) Can anyone shed any light on this one?

We recently turned our 17 year old Welsh pony out 24/7 in a new field and for some reason, his top front teeth are permanently coated in mud/grass, which is getting stuck onto his gums. Although I remove it each day, it is making his gums sore and I can't see why this is suddenly happening. The ground is soft, but not muddy.

Also, it seems as if he is starting to get a slight gap between his two front teeth which wasn't there before. He has never had a problem with his teeth or his gums before:cry:

Thanks

Call your local vet and ask him i am pretty sure the local vet will be able to help you. You could also go down to your local produce store and describe what is happening they could have something to help you. If the gap gets any bigger it might help calling a dentist and describe what is happening to his teeth. :) hope this helps and good luck

Tayler.
