My horse was pulling me down yesterday during a show.he was pulling his head down He seemed to not want to use his hind end. He was missing leads in the back. He refused a jump and he has never done that before. He is one of those horses that always takes the jump. We think he must have pulled a muscle in the hind end. Any suggestions?

call a vet if you are concerned about the sudden change. Other option would be pain management. I would think you could tell if he was sore from watching him move or palpating him.

Like, nose to the dirt kind of pulling you down..? Was he noticeably lame at all? More info on the situation would be helpful, but if you think it's a pulled muscle have your vet out and for now keep him resting.
